The Quran quotes from the Bible and derives much of its philosophy from the Bible, having said that, the educational aspect in biblical context is not weighed against the eating of the fruit in the Garden.
That act was about choice and disobedience on the part of Adam. It is one of those acts that set up the reconciliation of mankind through Christ.
Adams sin effected mankind as a whole, not just him, in the same way as the raising of Lazarus from the dead, set up the crucifixion of Christ which ushered in the prophesy of His death and eventual resurrection, this is what set up salvation of mankind from the Christian perspective.
Therefore the issue of education, where God is concerned, is always about generational perpetuity. Which is to say, any lesson from God transcends the person who experiences the lesson directly. Gods lessons are for the generations of man.
There are a myriad of these examples in scripture that make the point.
1 Timothy 2:13-14 - Adam knew better, thats why he was punished.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
John 11:45-53 - Lazarus kicked off the plot to kill Jesus
45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.
46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.
47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.
48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.
49 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,
50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.
51 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.
53 Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.
